Our Welsh Resources for Early Years Teaching are designed to support practitioners, leaders, and settings across Wales in delivering high-quality learning in line with the Curriculum for Wales. These resources help support children’s development from early years through to the foundation phase and into early primary. This collection includes a wide range of practical tools, including observations, assessments, planning resources, policies, trackers, and information for parents. Each resource is carefully created to align with the principles of the Curriculum for Wales, supporting child-centred, experiential learning across all Areas of Learning and Experience. Our observations and assessment tools help practitioners capture children’s progress, identify strengths, and plan meaningful next steps. Structured trackers support ongoing monitoring, while flexible planning resources allow staff to respond to children’s interests and developmental needs. We also provide clear and supportive information for parents, helping to build strong partnerships and ensure families feel involved in their child’s learning journey. These resources make it easier to communicate progress and encourage learning at home. Suitable for nursery, reception, and early primary, our Welsh resources support both children and staff by promoting consistency, confidence, and high quality teaching and learning in line with Welsh curriculum expectations.
